Wesley Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Surgical Oncology department. Located in the heart of our community, Wesley Medical Center thrives on providing top-notch healthcare services, including specialized care for oncology patients. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work closely with oncology surgeons and support staff to ensure outstanding, compassionate, and focused care. You will play a crucial role in managing nursing activities, coordinating patient care, and leading improvements in patient safety and treatment effectiveness. This role requires deep knowledge of oncologic surgery practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
Oversee daily operations within the surgical oncology department.
Coordinate patient care with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Develop and implement standards of care and nursing policies to enhance patient outcomes.
Participate in cancer research and clinical trials.
Train and mentor nursing staff and support their professional development.
Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
In-depth knowledge of oncology nursing care standards and protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in the use of medical software and patient management systems.

Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
